Do I have to buy a domain to start?
No. Every store gets a free yourname.shop.ajvik.com address that works from day one, including during the 7-day trial. Your own domain can be connected once you are on a paid plan, from Starter up.
Can I buy a domain through AjVik?
You buy the domain from any registrar, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or Squarespace Domains, and keep it in your own account. AjVik connects to it. That way you always control your brand name.
What if my domain also runs my business email?
Your email keeps working. The A record only points the website. If you move nameservers to AjVik, add your email provider's MX and TXT records in the DNS screen first.
How long does connecting take?
The record itself takes a minute to add. DNS changes usually show within minutes, and occasionally take up to a few hours. The dashboard checks for you and shows when it is live.
Do I pay extra for HTTPS?
No. A certificate is issued and renewed for every connected domain as part of your plan.
Can one store have more than one domain?
Yes. Connect as many as you need, pick one as primary, and the others redirect to it. You can delete non-primary domains at any time.
